What is your refund policy?
Refunds are issued to the person or organization that paid the registration fee. If you cancel up to 15 days prior to the conference start date, you will receive a full refund, less $75 application fee. If you cancel after that point, there is no refund since we have already paid the host facility for lodging and meals and hired staff based on enrollment. Out of courtesy, we ask that you notify us if your child is unable to attend so that we may accurately plan for the conference. To read more, see our refund policy under the register link.

How can I reach my child in case of an emergency while they are at the conference?
You may call the YYLC office at 803.628.0000. During our office hours (Monday through Friday, 9-5 EST), someone will be available to pass a message along to your child. During other times, the number for our conference director will be left on the answering machine so that you can contact them.

Will my child be allowed to call home?
Your child will be allowed to call home during free time. They may bring a cell phone to use only at free time; or they may bring a pre-paid phone card to use the phone in their dorm room.

My child has special dietary needs. What can be done to accommodate them?
While cafeteria staff will be able to tell your child about the food choices offered, they will be unable to arrange menus specifically for special needs diets. Salads are offered at both lunch and dinner. There will be more than one choice of food, so just encourage them tolook around and feel free to ask the cafeteria staff if they have any questions about how something was prepared.

What is the lost key fee?
If your child loses their key at the conference, you will be billed for the replacement costs. You will be billed only what the college charges us. If you fail to pay this fee, your child’s name will be added to our No Return List.

Our family does not have insurance. Is it still possible for my child to attend the conference?
Yes, they may still attend. You will need to complete the Insurance Release Form you received in your confirmation packet with all signatures, addresses, and phone numbers. In the space for insurance information, please provide a valid credit card number with the card holder’s name as it appears on the card, correct billing address, and security code from the back of the card. This information will be used only if your child needs immediate medical attention. The form is returned to the YYLC office at the conclusion of the conference and destroyed.

What should I do if my child does not receive a confirmation packet?
You should call the YYLC office at 803.628.0000 to confirm their registration and arrange for a new one to be sent to you.
